Introduction: The area of the lands that are influenced by mining operations, especially waste dump, is increasing continuously. Therefore, the necessity of mine reclamation is more important than the past. Selecting suitable plant species is one of the main topics in open pit mine reclamation regarding mined land use and environmental protection. Material and methods: In this research, the selection of suitable plant species regarding the environmental rehabilitation of Sungun copper mine was performed. At first, suitable plant species were selected by main criteria such as post-mining land use, climatic condition, and ecological parameters of soil. Then, selected species were ranked based on a questionnaire completed by experts using the combination of Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP), Simple Multi-Attribute Rating Technique (SMARTER), and Technique for Order of Preference by Similarity to Ideal Solution (TOPSIS) methods. Results and discussion: Suitable tree species in acidic and metallic pollutant lands were Ulmus minor, Juniperus communis, Betula pendula, Robiniapseudoacacia, Acer compestre, and Rhus coriria, respectively. Native tree species such as Ficus carica, Fraxinus excelsior, and Juglans regia were selected for the alkaline region, in a decreasing order. Conclusions: From the selected tree species for this region, the more successful species in reducing pollution and preventing soil erosion are preferred. Robiniapseudoacacia is not considered one of the native trees of the region. Yet, because it is more successful than other trees in environmental protection, it was selected as the superior plant species for this region. Among the native species of the region, Acer campestre has priority due to the purpose of preserving the environment.

Introduction:
Fish processing industry produces huge amounts of solid waste and wastewater. This wastewater consists of preliminary processing of the raw fish, washing the plant, and raw offal products (e.g., blood and viscera). The high-fat content of industrial wastewater causes problems in treatment and disposal and raises environmental crises. The purpose of this study is to select the best method for organizing a wastewater treatment in fish processing plant based on the most widely used wastewater management technologies worldwide.
Material and methods:
This research was done by the AHP method. Based on the general conditions in fish wastewater treatment plants in industrial estates and expert judgments, and by using technical, economic, environmental, and administrative criteria, the processes were carried out. Treatment of wastewater included trickling filter, aeration lagoon, anaerobic digestion, and active sludge. The obtained results were assessed by the Expert Choice software.
Results and discussion:
According to our results, the best method was the active sludge method with a score of 0.417 and after that, aeration lagoon, anaerobic digestion and trickling filter with a score of 0.284, 0.264 and 0.052, respectively, were the best choices based on the expert's opinion.
Conclusion:
According to the technical, managerial, environmental and economic criteria and sub-criteria, this study showed that the best method for wastewater treatment in a fish processing plant was the active sludge.

The rapidly expanding urban areas of the world constitute an environmental challenge for the 21st century that requires both new analytic approaches and new sources of data and information. Ecological Planning with multi-criteria decision making is a process that evaluates the alternative land uses in relation to its environmental and socioeconomic surroundings, with the purpose of manage the natural resources, preserve the ecosystems and solve or diminish possible environmental conicts. The objective of this research is to determine an ecological capability of urban development by using Fuzzy Logic Model (FLM) in GIS and IDRISI environments for the south zone of Centeral Alborz. This evaluation incorporated ecological factors in the region, such as physical factors (Topography, Elevation, Slope, Soil, Geology, Precipitation, Temperature) and biological factors (Vegetation density and Conservation areas) affecting in urban development land use. First, Urban land-use was categorized according to the classes of ecological word model in Iran, such as suitable, relatively suitable and unsuitable. Then, Multi-Criteria Decision Making (MCDM) was performed to evaluate ecological suitability of the development for each class, according to appropriately measured and weighted factors and a suitability map for the classes was developed using an algorithm that combines factors in the integrated fuzzy method of Weighted Linear Combination- Analytical Hierarchy Process (WLC-AHP). The results indicated that MCDM with FLM has high functionality for environmental evaluation of urban development .

Solid wastes have been an inseparable part of human life and the production of the wastes, in different levels of quality and quantity, is considered to be one of the major challenging issues of the environment in this era. Air and water pollution and soil which is the result of the lack of correct management and lack of choosing appropriate landfills to bury the wastes, have all created some problems for the environment. change the sentence. In order to decrease the negative outcomes of the wastes, it is essential to use the right tools and technology. One of the main parts of management in the urban solid wastes is finding an appropriate place in order to dispose the wastes. This study was done to locate the appropriate landfills in the city of Givi through using GIS technology. In this study the following parameters, criteria and rules for hygienic disposal on the basis of different standards such as Environment Conservation Organization, Ministry of Interior and worldwide experiences were identified, evaluated and selected: geology, infrastructure, seismic city of the areas, slope, land use, distance from rural and urban centers, soil plan of the area, hydrographic network plan, underground waters and the prevailing wind direction. Then, appropriate places in this area were identified according to national and international rules and standards and also by applying limiting factors through GIS. To integrate the layers and obtain the appropriate results, Bolin Logic was used. Through field visits, three locations for comparison and evaluation through hierarchical analysis process were selected and ultimately by doing closer studies on the selected locations and exerting appropriate weights on each of the locations, the final location will be selected.

The processes through which structure of ecosystems ends to its functions, according to the principles of environmental planning are called development. Since our environment consists of numerous ecosystems, and the complexity of action and reactions of developments emanates in cybernetic ecosystems, we need to use models, in order to predict and grasp a meaningfull perception of the real world. But in some instances modelling and the use of models become too complicated, which potentially increase the uncertainty in predictions. This paper, is an attempt to elucidate these kinds of model like MLR, and AHP and to present some solutions like uses of Game Theory in spatial planning, reduced models in simplification of models, and matrix quantification of SWOT model. Finally, it is argued that model should act as a decision support system (DSS) in environmental planning.
