Background and purpose: The forest ecosystem, as a valuable natural resource, provides various functions and services for human beings, which the maintenance of it should be the main goal of human activities. Therefore, nowadays, the study and analysis of the attitudes and behaviors of native communities to conserve forest ecosystem become very important due to their environmental problems and challenges. Therefore, the purpose of the study is investigating and analyses the attitude and environmental behavior of native communities in edges of Shiadeh and Diva forests of Babol city in Mazandaran Provence. Materials and methods: This research is an applied research that in terms of nature and method is part of descriptive analytical research based on survey. In this study for collecting information used documentary and field methods. The statistical population of the study included 150 native households in the villages along the Shiadeh and Diva forests who benefited from the services of the forest ecosystem of the region. The instrument of the study was a questionnaire whose validity was confirmed by a number of forestry experts and its items reliability achieved using Cronbach's alpha test. In the study, a single sample t-test used to analyze data. Socio-economic variables in this study included eight variables: age, marriage, gender, occupation, household size, education, cost and income. Results and discussion: In this study, the reliability of the questionnaire items was calculated using Cronbach's alpha test (0.87%), which shows its reliability. Also, the results of a survey of respondents' interest to the biosphere value attitude of respondents towards forest ecosystem services showed that 80.67% of the respondents had a positive view of environmental issues and 79.20% of the subjects had an altruistic view of environmental issues and 24.84% of the respondents had a selfish view of environmental issues. Also, 82.62% of native communities were willing to conserve the services of the forest ecosystem in the region. The results of data analysis showed that among the items of biosphere value attitude, altruistic, selfish and conservative, " Forests and rangeland level of the country is decreasing", " My family cares to the environment, especially the forests", " I do not have enough financial potential to pay for the conservation of the Shiadeh and Diva forests" and " to conserve the environment, I warn others and abide by forest conservation laws" items took the first rank respectively. Also, the results of one-sample t-test for the environmentalist attitude of native communities showed that respondents with conservative and selfish attitudes had the highest and lowest average behaviors, respectively. Conclusion: According to the results, the conservation value attitude in the research area has a higher average than other value attitudes. This indicates that native communities the environment and surrounding resources belong to themselves and strive to conserve. Keywords: Rural Communities, Environmental Behavior, Shiadeh, Diva, New Environmental Attitude

Introduction: Place attachment is an emotional connection to a specific location or perspective where usually includes physical and social elements (Devine-Wright, 2013). From Hummon's point of view, the community attachment is defined as an emotional investment in one place (Buta et al., 2014). Today, environmental concepts deeply have social implications, and a large part of the people’s environmental beliefs and behaviors changes under the influence of cultural and social systems (Kalantari et al., 2016). The purpose of this study was to investigate the relationship between community attachment and environmental behaviors considering the role of mediating attachment of the place among residents of Tajrish neighbourhood located in the district One of Tehran. Material and methods: The present research was a descriptive, analytical-correlational survey. A sample of 284 was selected from inhabitants of Tajrish neighbourhood based on random sampling method. The participants were asked to fill out the research questionnaire whose reliability and validity were confirmed. The obtained data were statistically analyzed using the correlation analysis and structural equation modeling in SPSS-21 and AMOS-21. Results and discussion: The results of standard coefficients obtained from structural equation modeling showed that community attachment can directly and positively predict place attachment (p < 0.01, β=0.65) and place attachment also can directly and positively predict pro-environmental civic participation (p < 0.01, β=0.48). Finally, the study findings revealed that community attachment affects pro-environmental civic participation both directly (p < 0.01, β=0.41) and indirectly, through the mediating role of place attachment, (p < 0.01, β=0.31). In order to assess the fitness of the model, in this research, fit indices from eight main indicators were utilized. In this study, the relative Chi-square, (CMIN/Df) was estimated at 1.375, indicating the acceptable condition of the model. The Root Mean Square Error of Approximation (RMSEA) of 0.036 also demonstrated the validity of the model developed in this study. The GFI and AGFI indices, absolute fit indices, should be in the range of zero to one, and values greater than 0.9 for the GFI index and 0.85 for the AGFI index indicate the optimal fit of the model. In the model measured in the present study, the value of 0.990 for the GFI index and 0.965 for the AGFI index showed a highly favorable fit of the model. For the Increasing Fitting Index (IFI), the Tucker-Lewis Index (TLI), and the Comparative Fit Index (CFI), values greater than 0.9 represent the ideal fit of the model. IFI, TLI, and CFI were, respectively, 0.996, 0.990, and 0.996 in this study. The (Bentler-Bonett) Normed Fit Index (NFI) is based on the correlation between the present variables in the model in a way that the coefficients of correlation between them would lead to high values of the adaptive fit index. The acceptable value of this index should be greater than 0.9 which was obtained in the present study and is an indication of the confirmation of the research model. Conclusions: The present study demonstrated that community attachment has a direct and significant effect on the place attachment and the environmental behavior. On the other hand, community attachment indirectly affects the creation of environmental behaviors in citizens through involving the sense of attachment to the .place; hence, place attachment is considered as an intermediary factor in creating environmentalist behaviors

Introduction: Today, as environmental problems are escalating with the ever-increasing rise in population, there is an urgent need to protect the environment. Researchers have suggested various solutions for environmental problems, most of which are technological but nowadays due to the high cost of these projects, they are interested in changing people's lifestyles and behavior. They believes the solution for environmental issues should be searched in the change of human behavior and attitude. In this regard the media has a big role to play in making people aware of environment issues and taking actions to protect the environment. media are known as very influential tools for widening and creating awareness, attitude and behavior about environmental issues. Media includig social media apps, websites, TV& radio, print media, etc play an important role in informing and engaging citizens in environmental issues. The great potential of the media in regard to the provision of information, the construction of knowledge and the cultivation of skills and attitudes, has been proved scientifically over the years. One of the important issues about environmental behavior and environmental conservation, is pay attention to environmental Non-governmental organizationseducation and training. Environmental education is a process that allows individuals to explore environmental issues, engage in problem solving, and take action to improve the environment. The main components of environmental education are: Awareness, sensitivity, Knowledge, Attitudes, Skills, intention, Participation and behavior. NGOs, according to their mission and goals, has appropriate facilities to increase public awareness through education and training of their members and other people and should support these organizations in order to achieving their goals. The main goal of this study is to investigating the role of media on some environmental education components including: knowledge, attitude, intention and environmental behavior of environmental NGOs members. Material and methods: The statistical population consisted of environmental NGOs members in Tehran Province. Sample size determined 148 person by using Krejcie and Morgan table and Sampling was done randomly. The main instrument for collecting data was questionnaire which its reliability Obtained based on Cronbach's alpha α=%89. Results and discussion: The results of structural modeling based on partial least squares method shows a significant and positive relationship between the four components (media, knowledge, attitude and intention) with environmental behavior. The results showed that all four variables (media, environmental knowledge, environmental attitude and environmental intention), have a high mean in the environmental NGOs members in Tehran Province. The independent variable (environmental attitude), has the greatest effect on the mediator variable (environmental intention) and also the greatest impact on the dependent variable (environmental behavior), and then media is the most effective variable. Environmental intention as mediator variable 57.1 percent of the variance of the environmental behavior between environmental NGOs members in Tehran Province. Also 34.3 percent of the variance of the environmental behavior is explained by media, environmental knowledge, environmental attitude and environmental intention between environmental NGOs members in Tehran Province. Conclusion: Environmental attitude has been identified as the most effective variable on environmental intention and environmental behavior in this study and Media has been identified as the second most effective variable on environmental intention and environmental behavior in this study. Media’s role in order to increasing environmental knowledge and attitudes of the population is undeniable. Media should be used more to facilitate the transmission of environmental information and promote more positive environmental attitudes. In recent years internet and social networks are the main sources for environmental information. Since digital media are used widely by young people, new educational material should be created in order to meet the updated needs for information concerning environmental issues. So Different programs should be planned by NGOs in order to sharing environmental information through media especially internet and social networks.
