From the bioenvironmental point of view, ecotourism maintains the environment and, from the economical viewpoint, it leads to economic dynamism in the local community by providing employment and income. Thus, recognizing the potentials and approaches toward developing natural tourism in different geographical regions is extremely significant. In this regard, the present study deals with assessment of the natural tourism potential of the Sistan area. This research aims at assessing the attractiveness of the ecotourism sites in Sistan, recognizing its ecotourism spatial development potentials, and determining approaches for reinforcing ecotourism at the regional level. This study employs a descriptive, analytical and survey method using 14 indexes, using the "cluster analysis" model. The findings show that the Chahnimeh natural wells of Sistan, Hamoon Lake and Khaje Mountain are the most attractive ones on the basis of attracting ecotourism because of enjoying high potentials (highly attractive). Kuhak dam, the forest Park of Jazinak, Hirmand River, Sistan dam and Zahak dam are all at the second level (middle attractive) because of the lack of cultural capacities, residential facilities, tasty and drinkable water. Finally, the desert landscape of Sistan is at the lowest level (low attractive) due to a lack of natural resources, limited environmental attractiveness, shortage of recreational equipment and the low level of accessibility and security. Therefore, considering developing the potentials of each area and providing appropriate facilities and equipment, the priority of spatial development can be put as low attractive, middle attractive and high attractive, respectively. رویکرد به اکوتوریسم به عنوان یک الگوی فضایی امروزه دامنۀ وسیعی یافته است. اکوتوریسم از نظر زیست محیطی موجب حفظ محیط زیست و از نظر اقتصادی، پویایی اقتصاد جوامع محلی را با ایجاد اشتغال و درآمد سبب میشود. بر این اساس، شناسایی قابلیتها و راهکارهای توسعۀ طبیعت گردی در نواحی مختلف جغرافیایی از اهمیت اساسی برخوردار است. در این راستا، پژوهش حاضر به ارزیابی و سطح بندی پتانسیلهای طبیعت گردی سیستان میپردازد. این پژوهش با هدف سنجش میزان جذابیت فضاهای اکوتوریستی سیستان؛ ضمن شناسایی قابلیتهای توسعۀ فضایی اکوتوریسم، راهکارهای تقویت جریان اکوتوریسم را در سطح ناحیه ای اولویت بندی و است « توصیفی، تحلیلی و پیمایشی » مشخص مینماید. روش انجام پژوهش به شیوة « تحلیل خوشه ای » که با استفاده از 14 نماگر و با بهره گیری از مدل سلسله مراتبی انجام شده است. یافته های پژوهش نشان میدهد که چاهنیمه های سیستان، دریاچه هامون و کوه خواجه به علت برخورداری از پتانسیل- های نسبتاً زیاد، از نظر جذب اکوتوریست در بالاترین سطح (فراجذاب) قرار دارند. سد کوهک، پارک جنگلی، رودخانۀ هیرمند، سد سیستان و سد زهک به دلیل عدم وجود قابلیتهای فرهنگی، امکانات اقامتی و آب سالم و گوارا در سطح دوم (میانجذاب) قرار گرفته و نهایتاً چشمانداز بیابانی سیستان به علت فقر منابع طبیعی، محدودیت جذابیتهای پیرامونی، کمبود امکانات رفاهی و پایین بودن سطح دسترسی و امنیت در پایینترین سطح (فروجذاب) واقع شدهاند. بنابراین با در نظر داشتن قابلیتهای توسعۀ هر فضا و فراهم نمودن امکانات و تسهیلات مورد نیاز، می توان به ترتیب فضاهای فروجذاب، میانجذاب و فراجذاب را در اولویت توسعۀ فضایی قرار داد.
