As a cost saving strategy, increasing the possible highest solid content is preferred, which is hardly feasible owing to the irreversible hydrogen bonding formation during drying. This phenomenon known as Hornification prevents the cellulose nanofibrils to be readily dispersed in water after being dried. This research assessed an environmentally friendly procedure for the production of water-dispersible nanofibrillated cellulose powder based on carboxymethyl cellulose (CMC) absorption. Material and methods: The absorption of varying amounts of CMC (0, 20 and 40 ml to constant 100 ml NFC) on cellulose nanofibrils in different temperatures of 22 °C (ambient) and 121 °C (autoclave) was investigated using conductometric titration. As the innovative part of the project, hydrodynamic properties of the dispersed NFC suspension including viscosity, turbidity, hydrodynamic specific volume, and water uptake were explored. Besides, the size of powder particles was probed by Dynamic Light Scattering (DLS). Results and discussion: The results indicated that in the highest addition level of CMC (40 ml) and autoclaving at 121 °C for 25 min, the highest absorption was observed, which yielded maximum results in all hydrodynamic properties compared to the control and other treated samples. On the contrary, data recorded for DLS signified that Poly Dispersity Index and the hydrodynamic diameter of the treated samples were bigger than untreated NFC, which was ascribed to the aggregation and agglomeration of cellulose particles in aqueous media.  Conclusion: Based on the method presented in this research, NFC powders with suitable dispersibility were obtained after oven-drying. It is concluded that the addition of adequate CMC to NFC results in increased dispersion and waster absorption capacity. The achievements of this novel method facilitates the production, handling, and storage of NFC in industrial applications. }, keywords = {Nanofibrillated cellulose (NFC),Hornification,Dispersibility,Carboxymethyl cellulose (CMC)}, title_fa = {روشی سازگار با محیط زیست در تهیه پودر نانوسلولز}, abstract_fa = {سابقه و هدف:  نانوفیبریل های سلولزی بصورت سوسپانسیون آبی با مقدار ماده جامد کم و ویسکوزیته بالا عرضه می شود که در اثر ماهیت به شدت هیدروفیلی فیبریل های سلولز می باشد. بدلیل هزینه های حمل بالا، توجه اصلی بر افزایش حداکثری مقدار ماده جامد خشک است که در عمل بدلیل تراکم غیرقابل برگشت پیوندهای هیدروژنی سلولز در زمان خشک کردن ممکن نمی باشد. این پدیده، استخوانی شدن نامیده می شود که متاثر از آن نانوفیبریل های سلولزی بعد از اینکه بطور کامل خشک شدند، در آب پراکنده نشده یا به سختی پراکنده می شوند. در پژوهش حاضر، روشی سازگار با محیطزیست برای تهیه پودر خشک از نانوفیبریل های سلولزی با قابلیت بازپراکندگی در آب آزمون شده است که بر پایه جذب کربوکسی متیل سلولز می باشد. مواد و روشها: بدین منظور، جذب کربوکسی متیل سلولز بر روی سوسپانسیون نانوفیبریل های سلولزی در دماهای مختلف 22 (دمای محیط) و 121 درجه سانتیگراد (اتوکلاو) مطالعه شد و مقدار آن بوسیله تیتراسیون هدایت سنجی اندازه گیری گردید. بعنوان جنبه نوآورانه پژوهش، ویژگی های هیدرودینامیکی سوسپانسیون شامل ذرات بازپراکنده شده نانوسلولز شامل آزمونهای ویسکوزیته، کدورت، حجم ویژه هیدرودینامیکی و میزان جذب آب مورد بررسی قرار گرفتند. همچنین، اندازه ذرات پودر تولید شده از طریق آزمون پراکندگی دینامیکی نور مورد مطالعه قرار گرفت. نتایج و بحث: بررسی نتایج نشان داد که در بالاترین سطح افزودن کربوکسی متیل سلولز (40 میلی لیتر) و اعمال دمای121 درجه سانتیگراد به مدت 25 دقیقه داخل اتوکلاو، بیشترین جذب صورت پذیرفته است که به دستیابی به میزان زیاد در کلیه ویژگی های هیدرودینامیکی در قیاس با نمونه شاهد و دیگر نمونه های تیمارشده منجر شد. برخلاف این یافته، اطلاعات به دست آمده از آزمون پراکندگی دینامیکی نور نشان داد که شاخص پراکندگی و اندازه هیدرودینامیکی همه نمونه های تیمار شده بسیار بالاتر از نانوسلولز تیمار نشده بودند که به دلمه و توده شدن ذره های سلولزی در محیط آبی نسبت داده شد. نتیجه گیری: با استفاده از این روش، پودر نانوسلولزی با قابلیت پراکندگی مناسب در آب پس از خشککردن در آون حاصل شد و بنابراین می توان نتیجه گیری کرد که با افزودن مقدار مناسبی CMC به نانوسلولز، پراکنش، بهبود یافته و قابلیت جذب آب پودرهای تولید شده افزایش پیدا می کند. دستاوردهای این روش جدید، تولید، حمل و نقل و ذخیره سازی نانوفیبریل های سلولزی را در کاربردهای صنعتی تسهیل می بخشد.}, keywords_fa = {نانوفیبریل های سلولز,استخوانی شدن,قابلیت پراکندگی,کربوکسی متیل سلولز}, url = {https://envs.sbu.ac.ir/article_98044.html}, eprint = {https://envs.sbu.ac.ir/article_98044_0d33ec138400b1f7af6f76a46d12a9f5.pdf} }
