The investigation on feeding habits of true crabs is one of the most important factors in the study of growth and survival of crabs. Distribution, growth, reproduction of crabs are largely dependent on the availability of prey. Materials and methods: Feeding habits of the Indo-pacific swimming crab, Charybdis hellerii (A. Milne-Edwards, 1867) were studied in the northern Persian Gulf during the period from June 2015 to May 2016. Sampling was conducted along coastal waters by monitoring bottom shrimp trawlers. Results and discussion: A total 371 stomach were measured of which, 197 were full and 174 were empty. Crabs stomach contents included: 60.75% crustaceans, 11.5% fish, 8.6% molluscs, 6.1% seagrass, 5.3% mixture and 7.7% undetectable and non-food as sand and gravel. The gut vacuity index was 46.9% during the research which showed medium nutriment in this animal.  The crustaceans, fish and molluscs are the dominant main food in gut. The results indicated that gut vacuity index was not statistically different between crab with barnacles and crabs without barnacles (P> 0.05). Conclusion: The recorded results showed that this species is omnivorous and its diet medium. There were no significant differences in the preference for food items in the different sex of the crabs. The Indo-pacific swimming crab as other portunid crabs are carnivores with a preference for animal food and the behavior of active predators of sessile and slow-moving macro-invertebrates.}, keywords = {Charybdis hellerii,Diet,Gut vacuity index,Persian Gulf}, title_fa = {شاخص‌های تغذیه‌ای در خرچنگ Charybdis hellerii (A.Milne-Edwards,1867) در آب‌های ساحلی خلیج فارس(استان هرمزگان)}, abstract_fa = {سابقه و هدف : تحقیق درباره تغذیه و عادات غذایی آبزیان یکی از موضوعات مهم در علوم شیلاتی است. بررسی شاخص‌های تغذیه‌ای خرچنگ‌ها به‌عنوان یکی از مهم‌ترین فاکتورهای موثر در رشد و بقاء آنها از اهمیت ویژه‌ای برخوردار است. همچنین مشخص شده که پراکندگی، رشد و تولید‌مثل خرچنگ‌ها تا حد زیادی بستگی به در دسترس بودن طعمه دارد. هدف از انجام این تحقیق بررسی عادات غذایی و شاخص‌های تغذیه‌ای خرچنگ Charybdis hellerii (A.Milne-Edwards, 1867) طی دوره یک‌ساله است. مواد و روش‌ها: این تحقیق به‌منظور تعیین رژیم غذایی خرچنگ C. hellerii در آب‌های ساحلی خلیج فارس (استان هرمزگان) طی مدت 12 ماه از خرداد 1394 تا اردیبهشت 1395 صورت گرفت. نمونه‌های خرچنگ به‌عنوان صید ضمنی میگو همزمان با گشت‌های پایش ذخایر میگو در آب‌های استان هرمزگان انتخاب شد. نتایج و بحث: در این تحقیق از 371 عدد معده بررسی‌شده، تعداد 174 عدد خالی و 197 عدد پر بودند. محتویات معده خرچنگ‌ها شامل 75/60 % سخت‌پوستان، 5/11 % ماهی، 6/8 % نرم‌تنان، 1/6 % علوفه دریایی، 3/5 % مواد مخلوط و 7/7 % مواد غیر‌قابل شناسایی (تجزیه‌شده) و مواد غیر‌غذایی شامل شن و سنگریزه بود. شاخص تهی بودن طی مدت مورد بررسی 9/46 % برآورد شد که نشان‌دهنده تغذیه متوسط این جانور است. اصلی‌ترین غذای این گونه به ترتیب سخت‌پوست، ماهی و نرم‌تن بود. نتایج این پژوهش حاکی از آن است که با توجه به شاخص تهی بودن معده تفاوتی بین خرچنگ‌های فاقد کشتی‌چسب و خرچنگ‌های حامل کشتی‌چسب وجود ندارد (P> 0.05). نتیجه‌گیری: این تحقیق نشان داد که این گونه همه‌چیز‌خوار است و رژیم تغذیه‌ای متوسطی دارد. بر اساس نتایج ثبت‌شده اختلاف معنی‌داری بین نوع تغذیه در دو جنس نر و ماده مشاهده نشد، اما شاخص پر بودن معده نشان داد که خرچنگ‌های نر در مقایسه با خرچنک‌های ماده به‌طور معنی‌داری در اغلب ماه‌های سال موجودات پرخورتری بودند که علت را می‌توان به درصد بالای تخم‌دار بودن خرچنگ‌های ماده در طول دوره تحقیق و فعالیت کم آنها در این مدت نسبت داد.}, keywords_fa = {Charybdis hellerii,رژیم غذایی,شاخص تهی بودن معده,خلیج فارس}, url = {https://envs.sbu.ac.ir/article_97923.html}, eprint = {https://envs.sbu.ac.ir/article_97923_6f26af11cafecf440419da2b6d8c9197.pdf} }
